3 Skin Supporting Yoga Poses

Cat Pose – Start on your hands and knees in a “tabletop” position. with knees set directly below hips and wrists, elbows, and shoulders in line to the floor. Exhale, round your spine toward the ceiling,

Inhale, coming back to neutral “tabletop” position on your hands and knees.

Cow Pose – Start on your hands and knees in a “tabletop” position. Make sure your knees are set directly below your hips and your wrists, elbows and shoulders are in line and perpendicular to the floor. As you inhale, lift your sitting bones and chest toward the ceiling, allowing your belly to sink toward the floor. Lift your head to look straight forward.

Exhale, coming back to neutral “tabletop” position on your hands and knees.

Child’s Pose – Kneel on the floor. with your big toes together, sitting on your heels. Separate your knees about as wide as your hips.

Exhale and lay your torso down between your thighs. Lengthen your tailbone away from the back of the pelvis while you lift the base of your skull away from the back of your neck.

Lay your hands on the floor alongside your torso, palms up, and release the fronts of your shoulders toward the floor. Feel how the weight of the front shoulders pulls the shoulder blades wide across your back.
